A few months ago, Samsung launched the ‘AI Subscription Club' in South Korea. It isn't what you think it is. It is a subscription plan that lets you use Samsung's devices by paying a monthly subscription fee.
Samsung has revealed that the subscription model for buying high-end TVs is gaining popularity in South Korea.
Half of people buying Samsung's high-end TVs in Korea use AI Subscription Club
When the AI Subscription Club was launched in December 2024, 20% of high-end Samsung TV buyers used it. In February 2025, those numbers have more than doubled, and 50% of high-end Samsung TV buyers used the AI Subscription Club.
Moreover, the launch of the AI Subscription Club helped the company increase the sales of high-end TVs by 10% in February 2025 compared to December 2024.
Samsung's AI TV range, which has AI-powered features like AI Mode, AI Smart Home, Click To Search, Real-Time Language Translation, and Smart Home Monitoring, can be purchased for a price of just KRW 10,000 (~$7) per month.
The South Korean firm is also offering free repairs for the first five years. This is among the main points that is pushing users into using the AI Subscription Club plan.
Lim Sung-taek, CEO of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “The number of consumers interested in the ‘AI Subscription Club’ among those looking to purchase premium TVs is increasing, and the ‘AI Subscription Club’ is the best way to experience premium TVs for a long time.”
